Metadata: Duart Point - ADU Monitoring
Abstract:
Archaeological Diving Unit (ADU) monitoring operations on the designated wreck site at Duart Point over a period of 10 years. The work included diver observations to monitor the condition of the structural timbers, cannon and other archaeological remains at the site; the work being undertaken by the licencee, and efficacy of experimental measures to control deterioration of iron objects in-situ. The location given for the site is derived from ADU report 00/09, min/max depths are derived from ADU dive reports. The size of the survey area is not given in the documentation available. Wessex Archaeology subsequently took over monitoring of the site and their Designated Site Assessment is recorded in the OASIS database as englishh1-93406.
