Metadata: The Hazardous Project
Abstract:
Warship Hazardous sank in a storm north east of the Isle of Wight in November 1706. The wreck was discovered in 1977 approximately 800 metres south-east of Bracklesham Bay slipway, West Sussex, and the site has been under archaeological investigation by the 308 Sub-Aqua Association for over twenty years. The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology have deposited a selection of the digital archive resulting from these investigations with the Archaeological Data Service. This material consists of: data tables detailing the contents of the archive; reports on the archive and of recommendations on the care and stabilisation of the artefacts recovered from Hazardous written by Mary Rose Archaeological Services; and a selection of digitised photographs of the wreck and of recovered artefacts.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 2497 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | The Hazardous Project |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | a7215bd4118c9f70b4c8795dc654f997 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | COLL_ID_1000437 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2005-04-22 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2005-08-03 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
