Metadata: 2014-2018 University of Plymouth Lyme Bay Baited Remote Underwater Video systems and Passive Acoustic Monitoring
Abstract:
Benthic mobile marine fauna abundance and Passive Acoustic Monitoring data located both inside and outside of Lyme Bay Statutory Instrument, on the South of the UK, from an assessment of the effects of a Marine Protected Area. The purpose of the study was to assess changes in benthic mobile fauna using Baited Remote Underwater Video systems and Passive Acoustic Monitoring as well as comparing the two methods.
Data holder:
Plymouth University Marine Institute
Use constraints:
Restricted public access, only available on request.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 3252 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2014-2018 University of Plymouth Lyme Bay Baited Remote Underwater Video systems and Passive Acoustic Monitoring |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | da9fa6ef54afe488cebafe221195d6df |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | uop_LymeBay_2014_2018 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2014-07-10 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2018-06-28 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | continual |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This dataset was collected by the University of Plymouth for long term monitoring of Lyme Bay Marine Protected Area (MPA). Both Baited Remote Underwater Video systems and passive acoustic monitoring(processing methods in Davies et al., 2020). If any sensitive species or biotope records are present within this dataset, they will have been removed. If you wish to request access to sensitive species records, please contact the metadata contact. The UK Sensitive Species list has been agreed by UK statutory bodies and relevant experts. It can be viewed here https://docs.nbnatlas.org/sensitive-species-list/. Please note sensitive species lists can vary across the UK. |
