Abstract:
These data sources have identified the key commercial finfish species identified as cod, plaice, thornback ray and whiting. In addition to these species, the Cefas trawl survey data identified mackerel as a key commercial species. Other species identified in high numbers by the Cefas trawl survey data (CPUE) in ICES rectangle 36F0 include sprat, dab, herring, horse mackerel, lesser weaver, grey gurnard, lemon sole and poor cod.
