Metadata: 1983-2015, VORTEX, Zone 1 - Moray Firth, Wind Hindcast Modelling Study
Abstract:
This data series contains reports and data files from the study carried out by Vortex for Moray Offshore Renewables Ltd. Vortex provides on-line atmospheric modelling services and in this study provide MORL with a wind resource assessment. A Vortex hindcast dataset was obtained by MORL for six locations within the MORL Eastern Development Area (EDA) wind farm. These data were obtained at hourly intervals from a data source with a spatial resolution of less than 0.05 degrees (3 km, latitude and longitude) and at a reference height of 100 m MSL and span a 20 year (or 30 year for OP01) period.
