Metadata: 2005, RSKENSR Group, Barrow Offshore Wind Farm, Pre-construction Baseline Environmental Monitoring
Abstract:
This project examines the onshore and offshore elements of the environmental pre-construction monitoring undertaken at the site of the Barrow offshore wind farm to comply with the conditions of the FEPA Act. In some cases repeat surveys will take place to determine the changes following construction or once the wind farm installation is completed. Subsequent annual reports will present results from monitoring surveys during construction and operation, and seek to assess whether any changes seen are a result of wind farm construction or operation.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 18320 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2005, RSKENSR Group, Barrow Offshore Wind Farm, Pre-construction Baseline Environmental Monitoring |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Baseline Environmental Monitoring |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 12ceb7b2-f261-4a96-94a0-49748b2cf055 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-35 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2004-02-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2005-04-01 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
| Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | This project examines the onshore and offshore elements of the environmental pre-construction monitoring undertaken at the site of the Barrow offshore wind farm to comply with the conditions of the FEPA Act. | Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | Following submission of the planning application, including an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), the Barrow Offshore Wind Farm was granted consent for construction in 2003. The conditions of consentincluded a number of environmental monitoring requirements that werebased on the potential impacts identified within the EIS. An outline of the proposed monitoring programme to fulfil those requirements was submitted to the Marine Consents Environment Unit (MCEU) in 2003, which resulted in a number of comments and suggestions from their consultees. Revised methods for several aspects of the monitoring have since been agreed with the regulators, and the final methods are detailed in this report. The report includes both offshore and onshore elements and these have been dealt with separately within the document, with the intertidal section being grouped with other offshore elements. |
