Metadata: 2016, Natural Power Consultants, Blyth Demonstration Site, Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS)
Abstract:
Natural Power Consultants (Natural Power) has been invited by Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Limited (BODL) to carry out pre-construction benthic monitoring surveys at the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Project. Pre-construction monitoring is required in order to comply with the Marine Licence conditions to establish an ecological baseline prior to construction work commencing in 2017. This Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) document details the Health and Safety arrangements in place to demonstrate a safe system of work whilst undertaking pre-construction benthic and fish survey work of the BODL project using the survey vessel RV Princess Royal, and should be read in conjunction with the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Project Contractor Health & Safety Minimum Requirements. Survey methods will include benthic grab surveys, set net surveys, potting surveys, epibenthic beam and otter trawl surveys, intertidal surveys and drop down video (DDV) surveys.
