Metadata: 2012, Dong Energy, Walney Extension - Preliminary Environmental Information
Abstract:
This Preliminary Environmental Information (PEI), which is made up of the PEI document and a non-technical summary (NTS), is intended to inform the reader about the proposed Walney Extension offshore wind farm project and provide an initial and provisional assessment of the likely significant environmental effects arising from the construction, operation and decommissioning of the Project. Consultation responses on this preliminary overview of the project were used to inform the design of the Project and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), the conclusions of which are provided in the Environmental Statement (ES) supporting the application for a development consent order (DCO) from the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change authorising the construction and operation of the Project.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 4478 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2012, Dong Energy, Walney Extension - Preliminary Environmental Information |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 2898257dcb8d2c644b54b0380d8fb00e |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | WOW03-56981322 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2010-01-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-08-23 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
| Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This document explains how physical, biological and human environmental impacts and their significance will be approached and assessed in the Environmental Statement (ES), and makes a provisional assessment of likely significant impacts. However, it is not the intention for this PEI to in anyway replace that Environmental Statement. The PEI was made available to stakeholders (including the community) from 3rd September 2012 for the purposes of formal consultation under the 2008 Act. Table 3 within the PEI reports lists the environmental surveys or studies undertaken to date in respect of the EIA. |
