Metadata: 2012 - 2014, Westermost Rough, Westermost Rough, Environmental Monitoring
Abstract:
The Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm (WMR OWF) is a project awarded to DONG Energy by The Crown Estate, under the second round of offshore wind licensing agreements (Round 2). The project is located 8km off the Yorkshire coast, just north of Hull. The WMR OWF spans 35 sq. km, within which 35 x 6MW capacity turbines will be installed. The original consents were granted for the WMR OWF in 2010, following an alteration to the project envelope these were amended and updated in 2012: - A Marine Licence (L/2011/00305) in October 2012 (This report is based on version 3 of the Marine Licence) - Consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 in November 2011, varied October 2012; and - Planning permission under Section 90 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in October 2012. Pre-construction monitoring surveys and assessments have been undertaken on behalf of Westermost Rough Ltd (WMR Ltd), a subsidiary of DONG Energy, to comply with condition 3.1.17 of the WMR OWF Marine Licence (L/2011/00305/3). This Pre-construction Environmental Monitoring Report has been prepared on behalf of WMR Ltd for submission to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) in order to fulfil conditions 3.1.19 and 3.1.21 of the Marine Licence.

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This Pre-construction Environmental Monitoring Report collates and summarises all of the survey reports to date for the WMR OWF. The full survey reports and supporting documents will be submitted as appendices to this report, these detail the survey methodologies, results, analysis and discussions undertaken for each parameter assessed. All figures, plates and tables have kept their original numbering from their respective survey report to allow better coherence with the survey reports. Inconsistency with the section numbering in the current report can thus appear. |
