Abstract:
This document is a report on the second year (2014) of post-installation archaeological monitoring of geophysical survey data which was acquired during the autumn of 2014 for the turbine array and export cables following the construction of the wind farm. This data was reviewed by the London Array Retained Archaeologists in order to ascertain if post-installation sediment dynamics had had any effect on the Archaeological Avoidance Blocks (AABs) identified and agreed during the consent and construction process, or whether any further potential archaeological material had been exposed by bed movement caused by the wind farm installation.

All bathymetric data was provided to COARS as ASCII XYZ data gridded to a 0.5m bin size, matching the resolution of the pre-construction EMU 2010 engineering and consent geophysical survey bathymetry datasets, and the 2013 and 2014 post-construction monitoring survey bathymetric datasets. Bed level changes were calculated between the autumn 2014 and 2012 / 2013 / spring 2014 bathymetry to quantify the amount of bed level change.
