Metadata: 2008-2011, CEFAS, East Coast Regional Environmental Characterisation Project - Interpretation and Analysis
Abstract:
"The East Coast Regional Environmental Characterisation (REC) is a multidisciplinary marine study encompassing the geology, biology and archaeology of an extensive area of the seabed off the coasts of Norfolk and Suffolk. The aim of the East Coast Regional Environmental Characterisation (REC) was to develop a broad understanding of the habitats and areas of archaeological interest present in the east coast region, and to provide an insight into the processes that influence them. This involved acquisition of high quality geophysical and biological datasets which were then used to produce interpreted outputs that have enabled the assessment of the regional influence and significance of aggregate extraction activities. The East Coast REC study was led by Cefas with British Geological Survey (BGS), Marine Ecological Surveys (MES) Ltd, Envision and Wessex Archaeology as partners in the study. The study was funded by the Marine Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (MALSF) and commissioned by the Marine Environment Protection Fund (MEPF). "

| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2008-2011, CEFAS, East Coast Regional Environmental Characterisation Project - Interpretation and Analysis |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 497624eb58e552849e3d20fdda0d587c |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | 21667 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2026-04-19 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2026-04-19 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
