Abstract:
Natural Power Consultants were commissioned by the National Renewable Energy Centre (NaREC) to produce a scoping report.This scoping document forms part of the consents process. The aim of the document is to inform stakeholder about the proposed development, the consents required and the planned approach to the Environmental Impacts Assessment. For each environmental topic, baseline information is provided, the proposed scope of the aessment in terms of the studies and surveys to be undertaken is discussed and potential impacts of the project which require further investigation are identified, including potential mitigation and monitoring.

Partrac Ltd was contracted by NAREC to provide two Datawell Waverider buoys and four Acoustic Wave and Current Profilers (AWACs), offshore of Blyth, Northumbria, England.
