Metadata: 2024, XOCEAN, Sheringham Shoal, Seabed Monitoring Survey
Abstract:
During January 2024 XOCEAN were tasked to perform a multibeam echosounder and Pseudo SSS survey over the IAC corridors, 88 x (350m x 350m) WTG boxes within the Sheringham Shoal Windfarm Array and two export cable routes. The aim of the survey was to investigate anything which might influence integrity strategies, including scour, debris, condition of WTG base and cable protection covers etc. Survey objectives: MBES Bathymetry and Pseudo Sidescan: Utilising a Multibeam Echosounder, survey the WTGs, OSSs & Export Cable to provide: ? 0.5m grid and 0.5m XYZ ? 1m grid and 1m XYZ ? 5 hits per 1m ? 100% coverage

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19140 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2024, XOCEAN, Sheringham Shoal, Seabed Monitoring Survey |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Seabed Monitoring Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 51ba6dfc-3610-4311-9871-506d3a05a6b4 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-3974 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2024-01-15 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2024-02-05 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | The survey was performed using USVs of the model type XOCEAN XO-450. The USVs were fitted with the equipment detailed in Table 8. They were fully unmanned and enabled autonomous survey operations with the survey team onshore. The USVs were transported to site on a trailer and then deployed into the water via a crane. The USVs sent back live 4K video for watchkeeping purposes. The survey computers on the USVs were remotely connected and gave complete access to survey acquisition in the same way as on a traditional manned survey vessel. Prior to mobilisation to the survey site, the survey systems were calibrated as detailed in the MAC reports. The survey was performed to maximize survey efficiency. Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) data was collected in NavAQ acquisition software. The Primary Reference Position (online) was provided by an Applanix POS MV system, augmented with PPP corrections from Fugro Marinestar in real time to establish a horizontal position accurate to less than 0.10 m, and a vertical position accuracy to less than 0.15 m. The MBES, Navigation (position, attitude), and SVP data was merged and georeferenced in NavAQ. Data from all sensors were recorded in raw data files. An online survey grid was generated in real time for online QC. |
