Metadata: 2012-2016, Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd., Beatrice, Wind Data
Abstract:
Wind data was captured by the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (BOWL) project using LiDAR devices placed on the Jacky and Beatrice Alpha oil platforms in the Moray Firth. These platforms are situated to the south of the wind farm development area, Jacky within 0.5km and Beatrice Alpha within 10km of the site. The purpose of this data collection is to provide information to inform the calculation of the energy production estimate (EPE) for the wind farm. The wind data capture was performed using Leosphere Windcube V1 and V2 LiDAR devices. Leosphere Windcube V1 and V2 devices were located on the Beatrice Alpha oil platform and a Windcube V2 was located on the Jacky platform. The data included within this series was captured between 30/11/2012 (Beatrice Alpha V1) and 03/05/2016 (Jacky V2 and Beatrice Alpha V2). Also included are installation and service reports in the form of pdfs. Raw data supplied in .sta file format. Cleaned data supplied in Text document format.
