Metadata: 2009-2010, Partrac Ltd., Neart na Gaoithe, Metocean Survey
Abstract:
Partrac Ltd was contracted by the Firth of Forth and Tay Developers Group (FFTDG) to deploy one meteorological buoy (Metbuoy) at Neart na Gaoithe and RDI Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and Waverider buoys at Neart na Gaoithe and North Offshore. The objective of this survey was to provide data that will inform the developer’s physical processes modelling and engineering design in relation to proposed offshore wind farm developments. Demobilisation commenced on 25/06/10, successfully recovering all instruments and data from North Offshore site where a CTD profile was also conducted. Due to time restraints only the ADCP and Metbuoy were recovered from Neart na Gaoithe on 26/06/10. Further recovery of the Waverider at Neart na Gaoithe could not be undertaken due to unsuitable weather and was postponed until 12/07/10. The service visit of the Waverider at Neart na Gaoithe took place on 12/07/10.

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | An exhaustive series of quality control procedures were applied to all collected data. The main protocols used in this regard are: - Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission Manual of Quality Control Procedures For Validation Of Oceanographic Data Prepared by: CEC: DG-XII, MAST and IOC: IODE SC-93/WS-19. For both oceanographic and meteorological data. - CEFAS WaveNet QA/QC Procedures for Automated Telemetry Data (cefas.co.uk). |
