Metadata: 2014, ORE Catapult, Ynys Enlli, Analysis of Tidal Energy Resource
Abstract:
Report providing detailed analyses of data gathered from an Acoustic Current Doppler Profiler (ADCP) deployment at the north end of Bardsey Sound. The ADCP was deployed by Bangor University as part of their SEACAMS2 research programme. Data analysis was carried out by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult for Nova. Series includes the link to the ADCP data on the IMARDIS data portal, which provides a single point of access to data and associated metadata derived from the collaborative research carried out between marine renewable energy industries and Bangor University at Marine Centre Wales. Available for use in any future tidal projects in Bardsey Sound, or those wishing to understand the hydrodynamic conditions in the area.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19187 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2014, ORE Catapult, Ynys Enlli, Analysis of Tidal Energy Resource |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Analysis of Tidal Energy Resource |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 682de268-8e76-4a46-a371-4d75676f81ca |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-3689 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2014-07-21 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2014-08-07 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | Analyses of data gathered from an Acoustic Current Doppler Profiler (ADCP) deployment at the north end of Bardsey Sound. The ADCP was deployed by Bangor University as part of their SEACAMS2 research programme. Data analysis was carried out by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult for Nova. The ADCP was deployed and recovered by the School of Ocean Sciences, from the RV Prince Madog. The ADCP was an upward-facing RDI Workhorse 600 kHz ADCP, housed in a bottom mount Flotech trawl-proof frame (gimbal locked). Survey and acquisition methods and equipment information are available within the detailed metadata. Link to data on IMARDIS data portal is also provided. |
