Metadata: 2004, Osiris Projects, London Array Offshore Wind Farm, Geophysical Surveys
Abstract:
Osiris Projects were commissioned by Shell U.K. Limited to carry out a detail survey at the near shore wind farm development site known as the London Array project, together with associated cable route surveys. The surveys were carried out during the period 28th April to 6th August 2004, with substantial delays due to adverse weather conditions. Data acquisition was undertaken from Osiris Projects survey vessels MV ‘Seker’ and MV ‘Freja’. The primary objective of the wind farm development area survey was to acquire bathymetry, seabed features and foundations conditions data across the area, and along the proposed cable routes. The survey was carried out in three phases, although these were necessarily not carried out separately, due to the variable water depths encountered across the survey area.
