Metadata: 2012, Wessex Archaeology, Zone 9 - Celtic Array, Offshore Archaeological Assessment
Abstract:
Centrica Energy Renewable Investments Limited (CERI) now Celtic Array commissioned Wessex Archaeology to undertake this review. This review was undertaken between and April and October 2012 A total of 43 borehole sequences in the Zone 9 Irish Sea (SE Development) Area have been reviewed as part of a Stage 1 geoarchaeological desk-based assessment. The was undertaken as part of a programme of baseline data gathering currently undertaken by Centrica Energy Renewable Investments Limited (CERI) now Celtic Array for the Irish Sea Zone.. The results of the geoarchaeological review indicate Pleistocene and Holocene glacial and marine sediments present across the study area and confirm the earlier findings within this area undertaken as part of Met Mast Geotechnical Assessment (Wessex Archaeology 2011). This review makes recommendations for a total of 13 partial sequences to proceed to Stage 2 recording and sampling Corresponding Centrica Document No: SE-D-CE-073-0000-000000-011 Available dataset : Reports in pdf formats, GIS data in shapefile and geodatabase format, 3dmodels.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19250 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2012, Wessex Archaeology, Zone 9 - Celtic Array, Offshore Archaeological Assessment |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Offshore Archaeological Assessment |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 823d1b12-6dd4-4a27-a3a7-5f76baba098d |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-2693 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-04-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-10-01 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | unknown |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | The aim of the investigation is to make maximum archaeological use of the SEDA - South East Development Area geotechnical investigations. The objectives were • To identify geoarchaeological data for archaeological assessment; • To identify sub-samples of sequences of archaeological interest that can be considered in decisions about palaeo-environmental assessment, analysis and scientific dating; • To enhance the results of the geophysical assessment undertaken during the Zonal Assessment Process (WA 2010 ref - R3-D-EV-132-0000-000000-014). • To enhance the results of the Met Mast Stage 2 works (WA 2011 Ref - R3-D-EV-132-0000-000000-015). |
