| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | EMU Limited (EMU) was commissioned by London Array Limited (LAL) to undertake a series of geophysical surveys for an offshore wind farm located within the outer Thames Estuary. The London Array project is divided into two phases. This report and all survey work conducted by EMU relates to the offshore components of Phase One of the project. Covering an area of 100 km2, Phase One will consist of 175 turbines, two offshore substations, over 200 km of inter-array cables and four export cables with a total length over 200 km. Construction of the wind farm started with the onshore substation in July 2009. The survey work began in April 2010 and continued through to July 2011. Offshore construction began in March 2011 with the installation of the first of turbine foundation. |
