All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2004-2008, Offshore Environmental Solutions Ltd., Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm, FEPA Monitoring Summary |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 833836cb-83bd-44de-8e28-02bb497bbe1a |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | 10219 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2004 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2008 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | asNeeded |
| Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | This monitoring summary report has been prepared by Vattenfall A/S as part of the FEPA monitoring program for the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm. | Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This report provides a final summary of the environmental monitoring completed at the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm before, during and after the construction phase in accordance with the requirements of the Food & Environmental Protection Act (FEPA) Licence No. 31780/05/1. The monitoring detailed in this report makes reference to the various conditions of the FEPA licence, based on the most recently amended version dated 22nd February 2005 (a copy of the most recent licence is available to download from www.mfa.gov.uk). This report includes an overview of the construction of the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm with a focus on those aspects of most relevance to the FEPA conditions (i.e. the offshore components). The report then goes on to provide a summary of all of the monitoring undertaken at the site and in relation to the following: • Surveys for construction debris • Scour surveys • Suspended Solids monitoring • Ornithological monitoring • Benthic ecology monitoring • Intertidal ecology survey • Oyster surveys • Fish surveys • Operational underwater noise measurements • Monitoring colonisation of the underwater structures |
