Metadata: 2011-2012, Brown and May Marine, Lynn and Inner Dowsing, Year 3 Shrimp Survey
Abstract:
As part of the environmental monitoring programme outlined within FEPA licences 31792/10/1 and 31814/10/2 for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing (LID) wind farms respectively, both valid from the 10th October 2010 until the 31st October 2013, Brown & May Marine Ltd. was commissioned by Centrica to undertake post-construction fisheries surveys within the LID wind farms. This report details the findings of the 19th to 24th survey in a series of shrimp surveys to be undertaken in the area relevant to the operational LID wind farms. The survey is the Year 3 post construction survey which span across 2011 and 2012 The survey methodology replicated that of the previous surveys

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | The position of the vessel was tracked at all times using a Garmin GPSMap 620 with an EGNOS differential connected to an external Garmin GA29 antenna. The trawl start times and positions were recorded when the winch stopped paying out the gear. Trawl end times and positions were recorded when hauling of the gear commenced. Sampling was undertaken on the 19th and 20th September 2011. The start and end times, durations and coordinates of each tow are given in Table 3.3 and the tow tracks are illustrated in Figure 3.3 overleaf. As mentioned previously, stations situated within the Lynn offshore wind farm site (ST08 and ST09), and those within the Lincs offshore wind farm site (ST02 and ST10) were omitted due to the construction exclusion zones currently in place. Station ST03 was also omitted at the developer’s request due to its proximity to a historical Sabellaria spinulosa reef. |
