Metadata: 2006, CMACS, Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm, Beam Trawl Survey
Abstract:
This project examines the beam trawl survey that took place across the proposed development area of Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm during September 2006 by CMACS Ltd. This survey was carried ou to provide information concerning the benthic populations as part of the benthic baseline survey program. In total 954 fish from 23 fish taxa were recorded. The most common fish species recorded was dab, with a total of 229 individuals recorded. In comparison with the beam trawl results from 2005, fish species and epifaunal numbers are similar to those recorded at the same sites. It is considered that these two datasets from successive years (2005 and 2006) will provide significant information from which to monitor any possible impacts of the Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm construction and operation upon the benthic fish and epifaunal species populations of the area.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 5018 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2006, CMACS, Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm, Beam Trawl Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 8b06e72cba5450a1b1beb21f06443a50 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | 258 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2026-04-17 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2026-04-17 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
