Metadata: 2012-2014, University of Exeter, FaBTest, Wave Buoy and Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Data
Abstract:
Data gathered by a Fugro Oceanor SeaWatch Mini II wave buoy situated at the FaBtest site in Falmouth Bay. Location: 50.09872N -4.99832E. Data gathered by the University of Exeter funded in part by the Regional Growth fund and in part by Innovate UK. This series contains the processed data stored in a text format. hm0 - Significant wave height calculated from spectrum hmax - max wave height calculated from direct time series analysis mdir - mean direction qp - Godas spreading parameter sprtp - directional spreading at the spectral peak tm02 - Zero-crossing period calculated from the spectrum tmm10 - Energy period tp - Peak period as 1/fp where fp is the frequency at which S(f) is maximum.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19287 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2012-2014, University of Exeter, FaBTest, Wave Buoy and Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Data |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Wave Buoy and Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Data |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 95e336ce-d9e2-4b1c-80f0-a1053d84b96d |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-346 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-01-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2014-01-01 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | unknown |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. Initial, processed data from wave buoys will be published to the real time data store where developers can access data directly and from which data are drawn to populate the website. Quality Control (QC) and analysis will be applied during the monthly archiving process to these data as an integral part of the suite of Matlab processing programs described initially in section 5.3. As such, results will be included in reports to developers, ensuring they can make an informed assessment of conditions during the month. |
