Metadata: 2019, EGS, Burbo Bank, Bathymetric Survey
Abstract:
Ørsted Power contracted EGS international Ltd (EGSi) to undertake a bathymetric survey at Burbo Bank Wind Farm (BBW01) – all assets – in the Irish Sea. Data was acquired in September 2019. Operations were undertaken using a hull mounted dual head Kongsberg 2040C. The survey is designed to provide information needed primarily for the following: - Scour monitoring - Evaluate integrity of assets (WTG’s, cables and IAC’s) - To provide data from which any change to bedform morphology can be identified when compared to previous surveys (2006, 2012 and 2016) The surveys were conducted onboard the EGS owned coastal survey vessel ‘The Watchful’, which operated on a 12hr basis from Liverpool marina. Vessel mobilisation, calibrations and verifications began between 22nd and 23rd August 2019 whilst the vessel was in Liverpool and were then completed offshore 24th August. All survey operations were completed by 16th September 2019.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19297 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2019, EGS, Burbo Bank, Bathymetric Survey |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Bathymetric Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 989b5faf-b709-4d39-9480-07bfd15b3b5a |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-184 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2019-08-22 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2019-09-16 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | MBES data was acquired over the specified locations in September 2019. Data was acquired using a Kongsberg dual head, dual swath 2040D multibeam echo sounder operating at 400KHz. All data was processed in CARIS HIPS 10.4.4. at 20cm resolution, using the ETRS 89/UTM Zone 30N (EPSG 25830) Coordinate Reference system (CRS). A density plot was produced at a minimum of 40 soundings per m2. The entire area contains 100 or more soundings per bin. Post processed (POSPac MMS 8.3) navigation and attitude were applied to the raw multibeam, and all soundings were reduced to LAT using the UKHO VORF separation model. |
