Metadata: 2011, ABPmer, Zone 9 Celtic Array, Met Mast 1 and 4 Metocean Engineering Study
Abstract:
ABP Marine Environmental Research Ltd (ABPmer) was commissioned by Celtic Array to develop a range of metocean parameters to support the engineering design for 2 met mast locations (MM1 and MM4) within Zone 9 in the Irish Sea. This report provides a comprehensive description of the metocean conditions for two proposed met mast locations in the Round 3 Irish Sea zone, namely site MM1 and MM4. The description was formed using a combination of data from adjacent locations as well as new measurements achieved as part of an ongoing metocean survey programme to support project development. This analysis demonstrates some important contrasts between the two locations which is to help guide future metocean studies of to support the project development plans Available data set are time series data in csv formats and reports in pdf formats Associated report : R3-D-EN-054-0000-000000-038

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This metocean survey for zonal characterisation deliberately included a spread of monitoring sites across the zone to characterise the anticipated spatial variability in wave and tidal conditions. The survey plan included deployment of directional wave rider (DWR) buoys close to each other : met masts, MM1 and MM4. The DWR deployments were scheduled for a 12-month period in addition to a shorter term 60-day deployments of 12 seperates locations spread across the zone and commencing with sites adjacent to MM1 and MM4 |
