Abstract:
The Hywind Scotland Wind Power Plant at Buchan Deep is located (at 57.45N, 01.31W) off the eastern coast of Scotland. The water depth is for computation of some metocean parameters assumed to be 100 m. For planning of marine operations and structural analysis the exact depth should be verified. The metocean design basis for the Buchan Deep Power Cable consists of two separate parts: 1) Buchan Deep Power Cable Metocean Design Basis; 2) Metocean Design Basis Guidelines report. The codes, regulations and design premises that apply are given in the Metocean Design Basis Guidelines Section 1.2.4.
