Metadata: 2011, OpenHydro Technology Ltd, Brims Tidal Array, Bottom-Mounted ADCP Survey
Abstract:
Partrac Ltd was contracted by SSE Renewables to undertake collection of metocean data (tidal currents, waves and turbulence) at Brims Ness, which lies to the west of the proposed Cantick Head tidal sites. Two instrumented, ballasted bed-frames each comprising a 300 kHz T-RDI acoustic Doppler current profile (ADCP) were deployed at two sites (Site 14 and Site 20) onto the seabed over the period 11th June, 2011, to 13th July, 2011. These two locations lie off Brims Ness and are due west of the Cantick Head site boundary and previous ADCP survey locations.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 39075 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2011, OpenHydro Technology Ltd, Brims Tidal Array, Bottom-Mounted ADCP Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | ab4f7615-8aa6-4096-942e-cb5fc63a3d44 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | CES-49 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2011-06-10 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2011-07-12 |
| Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | 300 |
| Spatial resolution unit | This describes the unit of spatial resolution which for distance must be metres. | urn:ogc:def:uom:EPSG::9001 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | Wave data is derived from the current data, investigating the orbital velocities in the top 5 bins (x 4 beams = 20 bins) (minus 6% surface data due to side lobe interference at the sea surface). Hence, all data used to compute the wave climate has been derived from the quality controlled data set rather than the raw data set. |
