Abstract:
Anatec have been commissioned by MeyGen Ltd (MeyGen) to perform a Navigation Risk Assessment (NRA) of a planned tidal energy array in the Inner Sound of the Pentland Firth. The Inner Sound is located off the northern coast of Scotland, between Caithness on the Scottish mainland and the island of Stroma. The main data sources used in the study are as follows: • AIS Shipping Data; • Radar Count Data; • Vessel Logs from environmental survey work; • Government Fishing Surveillance Data; • RYA UK Coastal Atlas Data; and, • Sailing Directions.
