Metadata: 2014, Brown and May Marine, Lincs, Year 1 Fish and Shellfish Community Surveys
Abstract:
A series of pre-construction and post-construction surveys have been undertaken within and adjacent to the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) in order to meet the requirements outlined within the Lincs Marine Licence L/2011/00111/9 and LID6 FEPA consent 34852/11/0. The first year post-construction (January to December 2014) otter and beam trawl surveys as far as practicably possible, replicated the pre-construction surveys (September and October 2010). In addition, potting surveys were also undertaken as part of the post-construction surveys (pre-construction potting surveys were not undertaken). During the first year (2014) of post-construction surveys, a total of six surveys were undertaken in the area related to the Lincs OWF, these comprised of; ? two otter and beam trawl surveys; and ? four potting surveys. A series of analyses have been carried out on the fish (and to a lesser extent invertebrate) survey data in order to detect any changes in the recorded fish communities in the vicinity of the wind farm over the first year post-construction period when compared with the pre-construction baseline. This series contains the summary report and associated datasets.
