Abstract:
In November 2012 EGS (International) Ltd was contracted to undertake the second post construction (6 month) survey of the wind farm. The aim of the survey was to identify changes to seabed morphology within the wind farm and along the export cable routes. To meet the requirements of the survey EGS operated a Kongsberg EM3002D high frequency multibeam system and a Klein 3000 dual frequency side-scan sonar (SSS) in conjunction with a USBL system, across each of the proposed WTG’s, substation locations and export cable routes.
