Metadata: 2005, Project Management Support Services Ltd., (PMSS Ltd), Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm, Environmental Impact Assessment (Onshore Works) Scoping Report
Abstract:
This Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Report for the onshore works at Sizewell has been compiled by Project Management Support Services Ltd (PMSS Ltd) on behalf of GGOWL, with assistance from the following organisations: • Ecological Services Ltd • British Trust for Ornithology • ISVR Consulting • Airtricity • Fluor • Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology The proposed onshore works covered in this document comprises cabling to the shore across the inter-tidal section of the shoreline, onshore cabling, and a new 132/400 kV sub-station with associated infrastructure. The Scoping Report supplements the overall project (offshore and onshore) scoping report submitted to the DTI in 2004 and has been produced as an informal document for distribution and comment in order to amplify the scope of the environmental assessment for the onshore section of the project now that a definitive landfall site (i.e. Sizewell) has been chosen from the 3 options presented in the formal scoping report. Following discussions and agreement with the DTI, it is not intended to request a formal scoping opinion as this has already been issued for the overall project. However, the document will be widely distributed to regulators, statutory consultees and other stakeholders to provide comments on the proposed amplified scope of the assessment relevant to the onshore works. The onshore works covered in this document comprise cabling to shore across the inter-tidal section of the shoreline, onshore cabling, and new 132/400 kV sub station with ancillary infrastructure.
