Metadata: 2011, Gardline, Westermost Rough, Geophysical Survey
Abstract:
Gardline Geosurvey Limited was contracted to survey the proposed Westermost Rough Extension Area and Cable Route Survey between 17-Feb-2011 and 08-Mar-2011. The geological data acquisition programme was carried out by MV Confidante, which sailed from Great Yarmouth and returned to Great Yarmouth upon completion of survey operations. Reporting for the project has been sub-divided into three volumes. A single operations report covers all fieldwork and two other separate volumes present the results for various datasets acquired.

| Other details | ||
| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19617 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2011, Gardline, Westermost Rough, Geophysical Survey |
| Alternative title | The purpose of alternative title is to record any additional names by which the dataset may be known. | Geophysical Survey |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | e4bacf13-9a2d-4291-99d9-cb4748e1b926 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | TCE-2355 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2011-02-15 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2011-03-08 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | This survey represents DONG Deliverable 790. The vessel's reference point (X=0, Y=0, Z=0) was the CoG (Centre of Gravity). All equipment offsets, towpoints and laybacks are included in the Operations Report. Primary navigation for this project was the Fugro Starfix DGPS system and used Aberdeen, Rogaland, Leidschendam and Shannon as reference stations. Secondary navigation for this project was a stand alone GPS receiver using the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) satellite based augmentation system. Multiple reference stations were chosen according to vessel location. The DGPS systems performed to a high standard, and hence positioning accuracy achieved is expected to be in accordance with specifications for the systems. Absolute accuracy would, therefore, be in the region of ± 2 metres with relative accuracy being greater. |
