Abstract:
A geological model is developed for the Burbo Bank wind farm site which is located approximately 25km north-west of Liverpool, in the south-eastern Irish Sea. Water Depths range from approximately 5m to 28m and are at their shallowest where sand banks occur. This study integrates available geophysical (sparker and pinger) data, with geotechnical data, including vibrocores (GEO, 2012) and boreholes (FESL, 2013).
