Metadata: 2012, Optimised Environment Ltd., Zone 1 - Moray Firth, Landscape and Visual Assessment
Abstract:
Optimised Environment Ltd. was commissioned by Moray Offshore Renewables Ltd. to undertake the Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (SLVIA) for the eastern development are of the Moray Offshore Wind Farm. The eastern development area will contain three wind farms: Telford, Stevenson and MacColl. The SLVIA for the three proposed wind farm sites has been undertaken within a 50 km radius study area of the Telford, Stevenson and MacColl offshore wind farms. The definition of the study area for this assessment has been chosen based on best practice guidance: SNH, 2006, project specific desk study and fieldwork. This Cumulative Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment describes, illustrates and assesses the ways in which the proposed developments will have additional effects when considered together with other existing, consented or proposed wind farms and identifies any related significant cumulative effects arising from the proposed developments.

| Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 19695 |
| Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2012, Optimised Environment Ltd., Zone 1 - Moray Firth, Landscape and Visual Assessment |
| File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | f2f92f97-666f-4911-9291-3af0503dccb4 |
| Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | CES-367 |
| Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | series |
| Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-01-01 |
| End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2012-12-31 |
| Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |

| Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | SNHs ‘Guidance on Landscape/Seascape Capacity for Aquaculture’ provides a methodology for assessing the seascape capacity for aquaculture development. The methodology described has been adapted for the purpose of the SLVIA of the three proposed wind farm sites to define the baseline character and visual qualities of the coastal landscape/seascape. The methodology is divided into a series of broad stages, summarised in Table 10.4.2. |
