  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset comprises hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, in May 1983. It incorporates sections across the slope west of Porcupine Bank, across the North Channel at the Mulls of Galloway and Kintyre, between the Mull of Kintyre and Islay and westwards across the shelf from Islay. The dataset also includes profiles on mooring sites serviced during the cruise (including two stations on the Rockall section) and a drogue release site. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collected by the Scottish Marine Biological Association.</dc:description>
