  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The dataset comprises 177 hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, within the North East Atlantic Ocean area. It incorporates the Dunstaffnage Marine Laboratory Rockall via Anton Dohrn Seamount (Ellett Line) section; CTD sections in the North Channel (Copeland-Portpatrick, Corsewall-Sanda, Kintyre-Antrim and Islay-Lough Foyle); sections between the mainland and the Hebrides; a CTD survey of the Clyde Sea; Sections running NW from two points on Lewis and Cape Wrath to the shelf break plus one across the Wyville Thomson Ridge. The data were collected during August of 1985. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collected by the Scottish Marine Biological Association.</dc:description>
