  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The dataset comprises 206 hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, from across the North Sea, Norwegian Sea and the North East Atlantic Ocean (limit 40W) areas including specifically the NW Continental Shelf of the UK, during August of 1987. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collected by the University of Wales, Bangor School of Ocean Sciences as part of the North Atlantic Norwegian Sea Exchange (NANSEN) project.</dc:description>
