  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The dataset comprises 139 hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, within the North East Atlantic Ocean area. The work comprised: A CTD survey of the Clyde Sea. CTD sections in the North Channel (Copeland-Portpatrick, Corsewall-Sanda, Kintyre-Antrim and Islay-Lough Foyle). CTD sections across the Scottish Shelf west of Islay, from Mull to Anton Dohrn then Rockall (the Ellett line), Rockall to Islay and between the mainland/Skye and the Hebrides. The data were collected during April and May of 1987. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collected by the Scottish Marine Biological Association.</dc:description>
