  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset comprises hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, during November 1996. It incorporates CTD sections between the Scottish mainland/Mull and the Inner Hebrides and between the Inner Hebrides and the Outer Hebrides. The data were collected by the Scottish Office Agriculture Environment and Fisheries Department Aberdeen Marine Laboratory as part of a a large scale hydrographic, chemistry, biology and sediment survey of the Minches area.</dc:description>
