<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The dataset comprises 30 hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, from the South Atlantic Ocean area, specifically across Drake Passage from Elephant Island to Burdwood Bank at the same positions as occupied in previous cruises during December 2003. Stations were full-depth, to within 10 metres of the seabed, with a maximum spacing of 35 km. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collected by the Southampton Oceanography Centre.</dc:description>
