  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset comprises hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, during May - June 1988. It incorporates CTD sections in two areas of the North Atlantic. First, across the Faroes bank, Faroes-Iceland Ridge, Iceland Basin and Reykjanes Ridge. Secondly, along 35 W between 51 and 53 N across the Charlie Gibbs Fracture Zone. A complete list of all data parameters are described by the SeaDataNet Parameter Discovery Vocabulary (PDV) keywords assigned in this metadata record. The data were collect by the Institute of Oceanographic Sciences Wormley Laboratory.</dc:description>
