  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset comprises hydrographic data profiles, collected by a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor package, during May - June 1996. It incorporates four CTD sections. The Joint North Sea Information System (JONSIS) line due east from the Orkneys, two in the Faroe Shetland Channel (Nolso-Flugga and Fair Isle-Munken) and one on the Wyville-Thompson Ridge. The data were collected by the Scottish Office Agriculture Environment and Fisheries Department Aberdeen Marine Laboratory.</dc:description>
