  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Eunicella verrucosa is a feature of the marine nature reserve, it is at the edge of it's distribution range and is a potential indicator of climate change. Eunicella verrucosa colonies around the Skomer MNR have been photographed and assessed for condition since 1992. Colonies are revisited every year and assessed for: Presence, damage, epi-foulants, entanglement, growth, necrotic tissue and the presence of Tritonia nilsodherni and Simnia patula. Eunicella verrucosa is a UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) species and information is used for BAP reporting.</dc:description>
