  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. The population of Parazoanthus axinellae (yellow trumpet anemone) is an important feature of Skomer MNR. P. axinellae is a Lusitanian (south-western) species near to the edge of its range and may act as an indicator of climatic change. Colonies have been photographed from fixed locations since 2001 and colony growth has been monitored. The purpose of this data capture was to monitor P. axinellae colonies for changes in polyp density and colony area.</dc:description>
