  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Maritime cliff and slopes are a feature of Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) listed under annex 1 of the EC Habitats Directive, form part of some Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) across Wales, and are a UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) priority habitat. 

This habitat encompasses a variety of vegetation types, ranging from saxicolous lichen communities in the spray zone through to sparsely vegetated cliff-faces and ledges to coastal grassland, heath and scrub on the deeper soils of the cliff-top. 

This is a spatial datasets which outlines 1 km squares where maritime cliff or slope habitat is found across Wales.</dc:description>
