<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The purpose of this data capture was to determine whether Ophelia bicornis found at two sites within the lower Loughor estuary during Phase 1 surveys carried out by Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) were still present. The polychaete Ophelia bicornis is known from only a few locations in the UK and is therefore of national importance. It is particularly vulnerable to changes in the granulometric composition of the sediment, pollution and trampling. The purpose of this data capture to determine whether O. bicornis found at two sites within the lower Loughor estuary during Phase 1 surveys carried out by CCW were still present.</dc:description>
