<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The aim of this data capture was to identify and quantify the epifauna and infauna of the mussel crumble beds, quantify the impacts of a simulated 'dredging' operation on the fauna of the beds and assess the stability of the beds in relation to dredging activities. Mussel Crumble are beds of mussels, barnacles, mussel and cockle shells, bound together by the mussel byssus thread. This dataset includes sediment particle size data, macrobenthic infaunal data tables, raw data matrices for the epifaunal quadrats. The purpose of this data capture was to identify and quantify the epifauna and infauna of the mussel crumble beds, quantify the impacts of a simulated 'dredging' operation on the fauna of the beds and assess the stability of the beds in relation to dredging activities.</dc:description>
