<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This is a GIS dataset line dataset depicting an approximation of the Lowest Astronomical Tide, through digitising along a combination of the OS 1:50,000 intertidal boundary and the lowest survey points of the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) marine intertidal phase 1 mapping survey. The purpose of this data capture was to define the lowest boundary of the intertidal zone, which has relevance when defining Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) boundaries for intertidal features. All SSSI's designated after the CCW Phase 1 mapping survey use this as their lowest limit.</dc:description>
