The principal objective of the survey was to provide a suitable base for future monitoring and also as part of CCW's commitment to reporting on the suitability of the estuary description as a Site of Special Scientific Importance (SSSI) and inclusion into the Menai Strait and Conwy Bay possible Special Area of Conservation (pSAC).</dc:description>
