  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Three permanent intertidal transects in the vicinity of the Dale Fort Field Centre were established immediately following the Sea Empress oil spill. Marine communities at these sites and in rock pools at a further site were surveyed at intervals up to fourteen months post spill. Data was collected in order to assess the impact of the Sea Empress oil spill on the rocky shore.</dc:description>
